GeoSLAM ZEB Horizon

Drone Mounted Aerial LiDAR solution.

The GeoSLAM ZEB Horizon is a versatile LiDAR solution which can be integrated with a drone. It can also be handheld, mounted to a car or pole or carried via a backpack.

This 3D scanner and laser-mapping product has a range of 100m, making it great for outdoor uses, especially when features are further apart.

Lightweight and compact, the ZEB Horizon can capture 300,000 points per second with a relative accuracy of up to 6mm (depending on the environment).

It can be used in areas with poor GPS - such as underground - and enables operators to capture data for 3D modelling, conduct material volume and tonnage calculations, and collect floorplan and building measurements.

Achieve real-time data preview with the ZEB Horizon RT (available separately).

The ZEB Horizon is compatible with DJI drones, such as the M300 RTK and M600 Pro, integrated via GeoSLAM's UAV mount (to be purchased separately).

The ZEB Horizon is ideal for a range of applications, such as forestry, industrial and housing estates, power lines, railways, farming, mining, and construction sites.

Data collected from the ZEB Horizon can be processed via GeoSLAM Connect & Draw.

heliguy™ offers a full ecosystem of support, including free consultancy and in-house GIS specialists to help with the sensor and datasets.

Why Use SLAM LiDAR?

On-the-go 3d mapping

With powerful SLAM technology at its heart, the ZEB Horizon can be used in areas with poor GPS.

SLAM stands for Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping. It is the process of computing the position of the sensor while building a map of the environment simultaneously.

This process enables surveyors to map an unknown environment as they go, making mobile mapping possible.

As such, SLAM simplifies data collection - removing the dependency on multiple static set-ups of bulky tripod-based systems - and can be used in a variety of environments, such as indoors, underground or outdoors.

The ZEB Horizon is a LiDAR-based SLAM system which uses a laser sensor to generate a 3D map of its environment. LiDAR is a fast and accurate surveying technique.
