Micro-Epsilon TIM 640

The Camera

A powerful solution from Micro-Epsilon, the themoIMAGER TIM 640 offers an impressive measuring range which can scale from -20°C to 900°C.

It's able to provide users with accurate thermal images in real-time thanks to an optical resolution of 640x480 pixels and a 33° FOV. The thermoIMAGER TIM 640 is a highly portable solution with dimensions of 46x56x90mm and a weight of only 320g including optics. This makes the TIM 640 one of the most compact thermal imaging cameras on the market, allowing a wide variety of potential use cases. 

Boasting a spectral range of 7.5 to 13µm and impressive thermal sensitivity (75mK), with radiometric video recording in real-time at 32Hz, Micro-Epsilon has developed a truly powerful thermography tool.

The Software

Using the thermalIMAGER TIM 640 you can access a full display of the thermal image currently being captured in real-time (32Hz) with an intuitive recording function that includes both videos and snapshots. The ability to monitor these processes as they progress means that any amendments that required to achieve your optimal result can all be performed on the fly.

The user is in total control, with the ability to command a straightforward process which sets up parameters and remotely directs the camera. Allows for detailed data analysis, even when you're focusing on rapid thermodynamic processes, this offers brilliant scope and functionality to thermographers.

On top of all this, you can access the output of analogue temperature or alert data via the Micro-Epsilon Process Interface as well as benefitting from digital communication via RS232 or DLL for software integration.


Using the Micro-Epsilon

A solid piece of non-contact technology, the thermoIMAGER TIM can detect measurement objects precisely and without the risk of damage due to prolonged use. You can accurately measure large surfaces at millisecond intervals which, in turn, offers a high level of quality data. This Micro-Epsilon TIM 640 Lightweight model can also be used in 'Line Monitoring Mode' which allows for continuous monitoring in environments such as manufacturing plants where products require constant observation.

These thermal imaging cameras from Micro-Epsilon can be used effectively across a vast measuring range. This includes the low temperatures which are prevalent in cooling chains or processes in a laboratory environment, to the highest temperatures found in metal processing applications.
