4 Step Rental Process

Rental DJI Matrice 30T Thermal Drone

The DJI Matrice 30 is DJI Enterprise's flagship drone.

It fits in a backpack or can be used with the DJI Dock (Dock Version) for autonomous deployment.

It integrates multiple high-performance sensors into one single camera payload and can be used with the new DJI FlightHub 2 fleet management and flight planning software.

The M30 has an IP55 weather-rating, making it ideal for missions in hostile environments.

It is the fastest, easiest high-performance DJI Enterprise drone to set up.

DJI Care Enterprise protection cover (Basic package) is included with the M30T.

Matrice 30T Cameras

The M30 series comes in two versions, the M30 and the M30T.

The M30T model has a 48 megapixel 1/2" CMOS sensor zoom camera with 5x to 16x optical and 200x digital zoom, a 12 megapixel wide-angle camera, 8k photo 4K/30 fps video resolution, and a laser rangefinder which can give the precise coordinates of objects up to 1,200 metres away.

Thermal capabilities of the M30T feature an additional 640 x 512 px radiometric thermal camera.

DJI M30 Design

  • IP55 weather rating for outstanding performance in harsh environments, including wet weather.
  • Operation temperatures from -20° C to 50° C.
  • Improved first-person view pilot camera for low light conditions
  • Three-propeller emergency landing, Health Management System, six-way obstacle avoidance sensors.
  • Four-antenna OcuSync 3 Enterprise transmission ensures a strong redundancy, and it supports LTE link backup, in the face of complex terrain and working conditions.
  • Foldable integrated lightweight design (3.7 kg take-off weight) that is easy to unfold, store and carry anywhere.
  • New self-heating TB30 battery design can support at least 400 charge cycles and allows a 41-minute flight time.
  • Smart BS30 charging case allows quick battery charging from 20% to 90% in 30 minutes.
  • New self-locking system and can be folded by just pressing a button.

M30 Data Security

The M30 features best in class data security.

Offline Updates: Enable future firmware updates to be completed entirely offline. Firmware packages can be downloaded from the DJI official website and saved to an external storage device such a microSD card, before being uploaded into the M30 and updated with DJI Pilot.

Local Data Mode: Acts like Airplane Mode on a phone by completely disconnecting the DJI M30 from the internet, ensuring all data stays only in the drone.

SD card AES encryption: Protects all the photos, videos, and flight logs that get stored on the microSD card by a security code and AES encryption.

DJI RC Plus

The new flagship enterprise controller.

  • 7-inch-wide high-definition, bright screen
  • IP54 certified, meaning it can be used in heavy rain
  • The DJI RC Plus has six physical buttons below the control sticks next to the screen. This makes it easier to switch between key controls - such as wide angle, zoom, infrared, and FPV views - without having to take hands away from the control sticks.
  • 6 hours of screen-on time. It has an internal battery and a swappable external battery, preventing the interruption of a mission.
  • Ports for microSD card, USB, HDMI, USB type C and 4G connectivity (where offered), for customers needing transmission redundancy.

Choose Your Equipment

We offer a range of rental equipment, including drones, payloads, batteries, and other items.

This enables you to dynamically scale your operations on a risk-free, cost-effective short-terms basis, tailoring the equipment to suit your needs.

All you need to get started is to pick your rental equipment.

Choose Dates

You’ve selected your equipment. Now it is time to say how long you want it for.

Our rental packages are available to hire in weekly slots, but you can rent the equipment across multiple weekly blocks, where available.

We've adjusted our rental offering and removed the variable time periods to reduce admin time and cut the cost of your rental bundle. Our new prices for weekly hire periods give you substantially better value than our previous daily rates.

All rentals must be confirmed at least 72 hours before the date of shipping. This includes the approval of the relevant documents - including insurance policy and ID. Please see Upload Documentation section below for more details. heliguy™ will notify you of confirmation by email.

If you requirement is urgent, please contact our team to discuss availablility.

Upload Documentation

Before you rent equipment from us, you will need to upload some important documentation. This needs to be submitted and approved at least 72 hours before your rental is due to be shipped.

This is based on having the right drone training qualification and UK drone registration requirements - where applicable - and a suitable insurance policy in place, which needs to be submitted to us.

You will also be required to complete a two-step identification process: Supplying a copy of your driving licence or passport, as well as a copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement which matches the shipping address.

Please check the box to confirm you have the required documents and use the forms to upload them directly to the site or Click here to learn more and get the relevant documents.

Pay £99 Deposit (Refundable)

Each heliguy™ drone rental requires a £99 deposit, refunded upon safe return of the aircraft.

Pilots who rent drones from heliguy™ should remove any captured data from the aircraft before returning.

Get Equipment

Your equipment will be dispatched by next-day courier to your address.

When it comes to returns, we offer collections for all rentals.

Delivery and collection fee will be quoted to you before you confirm your booking.

Returning Your Equipment

Repackage all of your rental equipment before 9am on the day of return, ready for DPD courier collection. Collection will be from the location agreed prior to the rental. Any changes, please contact heliguy™ as soon as possible.

Customers are responsible for removing all information from controllers, memory cards / internal storage and logs prior to returning equipment to heliguy™.

Training

Suggested training is the A2 CofC. Open the dropdowns below for more details.

Open Category Flights

If you are flying this drone in the Open Category, you have two options:

  1. A Valid A2 CofC: Fly in the A2 subcategory, fly up to 50m horizontally of uninvolved people.
  2. No A2 CofC: Fly in the A3 subcategory, no uninvolved people present within the area of flight, and no flights must take place within 150m horizontally of residential, commercial, industrial or recreational areas.

To obtain a valid A2 CofC, conduct online A2 CofC drone training with heliguy™. Click here for more details.

Specific Category

The Specific Category covers operations that present a greater risk than that of the Open Category, or where one or more elements of the operation fall outside the boundaries of the Open Category.

For this, a GVC is needed to be able to apply for an Operational Authorisation (similar to the former PfCO) from the CAA to operate in the Specific Category.

If you require a GVC to operate this drone, you can conduct online drone training with heliguy™. Click for more information.

Or you can take our PfCO to GVC Conversion Course. Click for more information.

For more information about the rules, read our UK Drone Laws blog.

Registration

Each pilot flying this aircraft requires a unique Flyer ID.

Pilots not in possession of a valid Flyer ID must visit the CAA’s drone registration website and complete the free online theory test to receive a Flyer ID. Each pilot must have their Flyer ID on them when flying this aircraft.

This rental drone is not already labelled with an Operator ID. You'll need to affix your own Operator ID to the drone before any flight.

Insurance

All drones require a valid insurance policy to rent.

We recommend Coverdrone's short term insurance designed to insure the drones on a temporary basis.

Coverdrone can offer buy as you fly insurance to almost all pilots who meet the training and registration requirements for that drone.

Get insurance from Coverdrone

You will need to provide Coverdrone with:

  • Product Name
  • Rental period:
  • Equipment Value: [the full value]
  • Hirer Name: heliguy™
  • Email: info@heliguy.com

Coverdrone will issue you with three documents - a Statement of Fact, Policy Schedule, and Evidence of Cover. The Policy Schedule is the official policy document and proof of cover, so please upload this here, as part of your rental application with heliguy™.

Identity Verification

You will also be required to complete a two-step identification process: Supplying a copy of your driving licence or passport, as well as a copy of a recent utility bill or bank statement which matches the shipping address.

Hours and hours spent maintaining your equipment is now freed up for you to go out there and do what you to best.

Try before you buy

Renting enables you to test the equipment first before deciding to buy it.

This allows you to evaluate the very latest drone equipment without the huge upfront cost and risk of broken workflows as you transition to a different fleet.

Numerous heliguy™ clients have found that through a low-cost rental, they've been able to see the massive advantages of upgrading their fleet for themselves, making internal buy in for a full purchase much simpler.

Eliminate down time

If you damage your equipment during your operations - which happens to the best of us - you could be waiting days, weeks or even months to get back in the air.

Those delays are costing you and your business.

With heliguy™ drone rental - those concerns are a thing of the past.

Our huge investment in our rental fleet means that we have backup units available and ready to be shipped to you when things go wrong.

Make downtime a thing of the past!

Mitigate risk of drone advancements

One of the biggest advantages of using the heliguy™ rental service is to ensure that you're at the forefront of drone use.

The technology available in the drone sector progresses at a tremendous rate.

Outdated equipment gets devalued quickly and can become less reliable with continued use without servicing.

By using our rental service you're making sure that you and your business get access to the very best equipment at all times.
