As such, it is regulation-friendly! In the UK, the DJI Mini 4 Pro can be flown in the Open category's A1 subcategory. This enables flights over uninvolved people, but not over crowds - affording great freedom and operational flexibility.

As a caveat, omnidirectional obstacle sensing cannot identify small objects, like tree branches and electric wires, and is unavailable at night.

6: Waypoints

Waypoint flight is a great feature on the Mini 4 Pro, with its automatic route functionality providing route repeatability.

 

 

It can be utilised for a range of operations, including cinematic content capture, as well as commercial missions, such as inspection or visual surveys.

Pre-set several points and the drone will automatically fly along them. The drone can also perform pre-set and highly-customisable actions during the flight.

Cruise Control

Cruise Control can reduce operation fatigue during long-distance, steady-state flight and further reduce camera shake with smoother camera movement.

Engage Cruise Control by pressing the shortcut button to lock the speed (based on how hard you are pushing the control stick at that moment). Once locked, there is no need to continue pushing the sticks; the locked movement will continue.

During the long-distance flight, this locks the speed/direction without requiring continued control stick movement or usage. The speed/direction can be manually adjusted at any time.

 

 

Advanced Return To Home 

Mini 4 Pro can automatically plan a safe flight route back to its home point and easily bypass obstacles. Additionally, the AR RTH route feature facilitates more confident control during return flights.

During the flight, the drone can scan its surroundings, implement internal mapping, and plan the optimal route back to its home point, including power-saving RTH and original RTH.

It is faster, more power-efficient, and safer when the battery level is low. Although, note that this feature is unavailable when the vision-sensing system is disabled.
