DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter Range.
DJI Phantom 3 drones are a truly impressive collection of quadcopters which are aimed at everyone from serious hobbyists to the professional drone pilot. The top of the range Phantom 3 Professional can capture stunning, ultra high definition (UHD) 4K videos as well as 12 megapixels stills on its stabilised and integrated camera.
Advanced vs Professional
The Phantom 3 Advanced has all the same attributes of the Professional but is capable of shooting video in 1080p full high definition (FHD), which could be more than enough for most people’s needs. What sets the Phantom apart from other quadcopters is the integration with DJI’s GO app. A whole host of functions, including a live 720p HD video feed, can be controlled from a mobile phone or tablet connected to the Phantom 3’s remote control.
Visual Positioning
The Professional and Advanced also have Visual Positioning – optical and ultrasonic sensors that stabilise the aircraft when a strong GPS signal isn’t available. The third multi-rotor in the range is the recently announced Phantom 3 Standard, which can shoot video at up to 2.7K.
It can only be used with a smart phone and not a tablet and uses different frequencies for control and video feed. The Standard does not have the benefit of Visual Positioning.
