  • Book space at 1:1 clinics and visit the joint stand;
  • The two-day conference takes place at the ExCeL London on November 24 and 25.

Esri UK and heliguy™ will be guest speaking at this year’s Digital Construction Week, highlighting how their end-to-end drone solution transforms AEC industry workflows.

Presentations will show how the partnership offers AEC organisations integrated and scalable drone programmes, by combining Esri UK’s GIS and Site Scan drone mapping and flight planning software, with heliguy™'s drone consultancy, hardware supply, pilot training and in-house repairs.

The integrated solution empowers AEC drone programmes by streamlining current processes, from drone management and data capture, through to deeper integration with BIM and CAD workflows, improving on-site safety and driving ROI.

In the Geospatial Theatre - sponsored by Esri UK and heliguy™ - developer Argent Related will be presenting alongside civil engineering contractor Galldris. Discussion will centre around how the Site Scan cloud platform has enabled both organisations to enhance their communication of site progress, visualising the large-scale development at Brent Cross Town.

Topics covered will include how drone technology is working alongside tried and tested engineering practices and how this required a major change of mindset for an established UK contractor.

This talk will be held on Wednesday, November 24, at 3pm. Find out more here.

Another presentation, held on the Tech Stage, will highlight how drone technology is transforming the AEC industry and contributing to key decision-making. This session will provide insights on hardware, regulations, flight planning and management and how aerial data can be turned into authoritative images and 3D models to identify risks, monitor changes and improve collaboration.

This will also be held on November 24, from noon to 12.30pm. Find out more here.

As well as the presentations, Esri UK and heliguy™ will be exhibiting their hardware and software solutions in the main hall during the two-day event. Representatives from both companies will be holding a 1:1 Drone Programme Clinic to help AEC organisations start and scale their drone programmes. Book your 15-minute session here.

Digital Construction Week - staged at the ExCeL London on Wednesday, November 24, (9am to 6pm) and Thursday, November 25 (9am to 4.30pm) - is the UK’s only event dedicated to digital construction, engineering, design, manufacturing and operation.

The show is set to attract more than 6,000 visitors from more than 50 different countries. It will feature a BIM village, construction hub and tech station, among other attractions.

Ben Sangster, in-house GIS specialist at heliguy™, said: “We are delighted to be guest speaking at Digital Construction Week alongside our partner, Esri UK, and we will be exhibiting DJI’s most powerful surveying drone, the M300 RTK, which can be integrated with photogrammetry, LiDAR, zoom, and thermal cameras to help construction professionals gain valuable insights.

“Drones, GIS and location intelligence are a potent combination for the construction industry. heliguy™ and Esri’s integrated solution enables AEC organisations to embrace these new and more efficient workflows to benefit from data-rich insights and digitised assets for smarter construction.

“Our multi-faceted approach to the industry enables clients to embrace this technology, safe in the knowledge that we will support them at every step of their drone programme, from proof of concept through to start up and scale.”

Rob Nichols, Head of Esri UK’s Drone Programme, said: “By providing a single source of hardware and software, our partnership with heliguy™ helps customers maximise their investment in drones and GIS. As drone usage increases, AEC organisations need highly integrated and structured programmes that can scale easily across their business and that’s what our partnership is designed to deliver.”
