Do I need drone training to fly Phantom 4 RTK?

New drone laws start in the UK and around Europe on December 31, 2020.

Pilots operating the Phantom 4 RTK have two training options.

They can either obtain an A2 CofC to operate in accordance with the rules of the Open Category's A2 Transitional subcategory (no flight closer than 50m horizontally from uninvolved people).

Alternatively, sit a GVC course to apply for an Operational Authorisation (replacing PfCO) to be able to operate within the Specific Category - geared towards the majority of enterprise pilots.
