What intelligent shooting modes does DJI Neo 2 offer?

DJI Neo 2 offers tracking modes, automated shot modes and six QuickShots. Here's what each one does.

Tracking and automated modes

  • Follow: tracks and films you as you move.

  • Cycling Follow: a follow mode designed for filming while you ride.

  • SelfieShot: takes preset selfie and group photos automatically.

  • Dolly Zoom: creates the dolly zoom effect, where the background appears to stretch or shrink while you stay the same size in frame.

  • MasterShots: flies a sequence of automated moves and compiles them into a short video.

QuickShots

  • Dronie: flies backwards and upwards while keeping the camera on you.

  • Circle: orbits around you.

  • Rocket: climbs straight up with the camera pointing down.

  • Spotlight: keeps the camera locked on you as you move.

  • Helix: spirals upwards around you.

  • Boomerang: flies away from you on an oval path, then returns.

Default modes and customising

Once DJI Neo 2 is activated and updated to the latest firmware, Follow, SelfieShot, Dronie, Circle and Rocket are enabled by default. You can add other modes and change their order in Custom mode in the DJI Fly app.

These modes are available with palm control and the DJI Fly app. When you fly with a remote controller, DJI Neo 2 supports QuickShots modes.
