DJI Enterprise drones firmware updates (December 2025)

DJI has released a swathe of firmware updates for its enterprise drone series.

The firmware updates have been pushed live for the DJI Matrice 4 Series, the DJI Dock 3 and Matrice 4D Series, the DJI M400, and DJI FlightHub 2.

This article highlights the key features of these firmware updates, designed to further enhance enterprise drone operations.

DJI Matrice 4 Series - What's new

Aircraft

• New multimodal detection feature now available. Supports configuring objects for alert via text, images, or real-time box selection for smarter flights.

• Added support to set alert conditions for AI recognition, enabling more flexible object alerts.

• Added support for DJI infrared algorithm and third-party infrared algorithm for Patrol Route.

• Added support for speaker and spotlight alert actions for Patrol Route. Zoom lens can be set for recognition.

• Added Smart Oblique for Linear Route.

• Added support for routes with only one waypoint in Waypoint Route.

• Added support for the navigation display module to display obstacle sensing capability levels and detailed working status of obstacle sensing sensors. The information is displayed in the camera view in DJI Pilot 2 or the virtual cockpit in DJI FlightHub 2.

• Added support to clear all the aircraft unlocking license with one click.

• Added support for the wide-angle camera to perform waypoint routes and manual flights with 48 MP.

• Optimised photo-taking action for intelligent flight routes, ensuring the object is centered in the frame.

• Added support for speaker and spotlight alert actions for intelligent flight routes.

• Added support for DJI infrared algorithm and third-party infrared algorithm for intelligent flight routes.

• Added support for Smart Capture and real-time alerts for manual flights. Warning threshold can be configured and a snapshot will be taken when an alert is triggered.

• The intelligent computing platform added support for configuring algorithm modes to 4K low-frequency or 2K high-frequency. *Only one mode can be selected and cannot be changed once the model is quantised.

• The intelligent computing platform added support for object detection and segmentation models.

• Added support for Device Network Speed Test, assisting network status diagnose for the dock. This feature can be enabled Device Management > Device Maintenance > Remote Debugging.

• Added support for Custom Network RTK Calibration in vehicle-mounted mode.

• Added support to plan Smart 3D Capture routes based on rough models.

• Optimised flight safety strategies. Added relevant features to meet local regulatory requirements.

• Added prompt when the aircraft is landed but the propellers are still spinning. To stop the propellers, hold throttle stick down for at least five seconds and avoid moving the stick in other directions.

• Added Automated Assignment to Automated Workflow: On the automated workflow page, you can create an automated assignment workflow, then trigger the workflow manually on the map or through an external system. After the aircraft arrives at the specified coordinates, preset actions will be performed automatically.

• AI Route Functionality Enhancement: Added support for selecting 3x or 7x zoom lens; Added support for DJI official and third-party infrared object detection algorithms; Added support for speaker and spotlight alert actions.

• Added Real-Time AI Alert Settings to Virtual Cockpit: During real-time flight, onboard official and third-party algorithms support setting alert thresholds. After an alert is triggered, relevant alerts will be collected in the alert list.

• Optimised Rapid Mapping Feature: Added support for enabling rapid mapping when distributing mapping-related tasks. The aircraft will transfer real-time thumbnails during flight, and modeling will start automatically after the transfer is complete, quickly generating models for emergency scenarios.

• Added Historical Elevation to Analyser: Added support for creating point and historical elevation measurements in analyser. You can draw points on the map to obtain the point's geographic location and surface heights of historical models.

• Added Support for Sharing Analyser: On the analyser sharing page, you can view the model media file timeline, measurement results, and analysis report directly by scanning the QR code via mobile device without login.
