
DJI Matrice 400 Interaction & AR Assistance Guide
A clear guide to using interaction tools and AR assistance on the DJI Matrice 400
This guide explains how to use the interaction tools and AR assistance features on the DJI Matrice 400, including real-time measurements, target sharing and AR overlays.

Real-time laser measurement
Real-time laser measurement allows you to calculate the distance, position and altitude of a target.
Tap the laser rangefinder icon to enable the feature.
Align the crosshair with the target.
RNG shows the distance between the target and aircraft.
ASL shows the target’s altitude above sea level.
Drawing a 3D line
Tap ··· to open the toolbar and select Draw 3D Line.
Align the crosshair and press C1 to add a measurement point.
Move the crosshair and press C1 again to add another point.
The 3D line length will appear on screen.
Press C2 to remove a point. The top-left of the screen displays the straight distance, horizontal length and altitude difference.
Tap Confirm to display the real-time 3D line length.
Drawing a 3D area
Tap ···, then select Draw 3D Area.
Align the crosshair and press C1 to add a measurement point.
Move the crosshair and continue adding points with C1.
Press C2 to remove a point. When the polygon closes, the top-left of the screen shows the horizontal area, perimeter and altitude difference.
Tap Confirm to display the boundaries and area size.
One-click arrival & target point sharing
Press L3 to mark a target point.
Tap the Share icon to generate a QR code containing the target coordinates.
Tap Fly to Destination Point.
Press C2 and the aircraft will automatically fly to the marked location.
Observed view & real-time FOV display
Tap the map to enter map view.
You can see the areas being scanned by the camera in real time.
Tap Observe View to record the coverage area and central points shown in the live view. This helps track scanned regions and prevents repeated flights during operations.
AR street view and AR power lines
Tap AR Street to display street names and building labels in the camera view.
Open Flight Settings, tap AR, and enable Highlight Power Lines.
Power lines will then be detected and highlighted in the camera view.
