Using ND filters is a great way to use longer shutter speeds to create dramatic content. However, they can be a bit tricky to attach and remove if you don't know what you're doing.

In this tutorial you'll learn how to safely remove and attach ND filters to your DJI Mavic Air 2 gimbal.

  1. Get Your Filter Kit.





    There's a wide variety of ND filters on Heliguy™.com which range in optical opacity. They come in all shapes and sizes so be sure to get the right one for your drone.

  2. Remove Original Protective Filter.



    To remove the original protective filter from the DJI Mavic Air 2, simply twist and gently pull it away.

  3. Align ND Filter.




    It's important you align the new ND filter with the indents on the gimbal face. The indents indicate where to place the new ND filter. Do this carefully to remove the risk of damaging the gimbal and camera.

  4. Apply ND Filter.



    Hook the new ND filter inside the indents and twist to secure it in place.
