DJI Mini 5 Pro Gimbal Roll Rotation Guide
A user-friendly guide to using gimbal roll rotation on the DJI Mini 5 Pro, including automatic and manual control options.
This guide explains how to use gimbal roll rotation on the DJI Mini 5 Pro, covering both automatic rotation in QuickShots and manual control via your remote controller.
Overview
The gimbal on the DJI Mini 5 Pro supports roll-axis rotation, allowing you to adjust the camera angle for more flexible shooting.
Gimbal roll can be used in intelligent flight modes such as Waypoints, FocusTrack, QuickShots and Hyperlapse. Combining these modes with roll rotation enables smoother and more creative camera movements.
Using Automatic Gimbal Roll Rotation (QuickShots Example)
Tap the Shooting Modes icon on the right side of the camera view.
Select QuickShots, then choose the Rotate sub-mode.
Set the flight direction, roll rotation angle and speed.
Tap Start. The aircraft will fly and begin shooting automatically.
Using Manual Gimbal Roll Rotation
To control gimbal roll manually, customise the button functions on the remote controller.
Open DJI Fly.
Go to Control and scroll down to Button Customisation.
When using DJI RC 2
The gimbal roll is controlled by the C1 button + right dial by default.
You can also assign gimbal roll to other custom buttons if preferred.
When using DJI RC-N3
The gimbal roll is controlled by the Fn button + dial by default.
