Heliguy survey team creates virtual tours with North East Land, Sea and Air Museum
Showcasing historic aircraft and tank exhibits through interactive 3D scans with XGRIDS handheld scanners and software
The Heliguy survey team visited the North East Land, Sea and Air Museum to help create interactive virtual tours of key exhibits.
Using the XGRIDS L2 Pro handheld scanner, each exhibit was captured in just 10 minutes. The data was then processed in LCC to generate detailed gaussian splat models.
This video showcases the Westland Sea King helicopter, BAE Systems Hawk jet, and Panavia Tornado jet.
Check out the Chieftain tank model below.
The L2 Pro’s extension pole was especially valuable for achieving wide, overhead views of the aircraft.
