Free feature access
Some tools no longer require activation. Select ‘Free Version’ to access essential features immediately.
Rendering display improvements
Users can now configure point cloud rendering styles and use the new X-ray mode. Rendering by category is supported for clearer data visualisation.
The software offers six X-ray display options — RGB, Elevation, Intensity, GPS Time, Unique, and Classification — each providing a different way to analyse and interpret datasets.
For example, the Elevation view displays more vibrant colours to highlight height variations, while the RGB mode presents a realistic visual representation of the scene.

Elevation x-ray feature
Alex Williams, Technical Geospatial Specialist at Heliguy said:
The X-ray feature in LixelStudio is a standout tool, allowing users to see inside 3D models for greater clarity, detail, and visual understanding of point cloud data.

RGB X-ray feature
Project data inspection and repair
Project data is automatically checked during processing. If issues are found, data repair can be performed to maintain clean, accurate datasets.
K1 point cloud enhancement
The point cloud enhancement function now supports K1 devices, improving the density of point clouds using advanced processing techniques.
Density tool
A new Density Tool allows users to measure and analyse point cloud density — ideal for project validation and quality control.

Simply adjust the point density slider to your preferred level.

Data recording
The Data Recording tool enables users to add measurements and annotations within point clouds and export them as PDF reports for documentation.

Product improvement programme
A new User Improvement option in Settings lets users share feedback to help XGRIDS refine future releases.
Enhanced measurement tools
A magnifier improves point selection accuracy, while multi-point measurements now include annotations for easier analysis.
Processing and algorithm optimisation
Refined workflows and algorithms deliver improved stability and faster project performance.
Map fusion and PPK enhancements
Map Fusion now offers higher accuracy, greater stability, and PPK mode support. Users can import multiple navigation files for flexible coordinate processing.
Coordinate conversion updates
Expanded regional systems, EPSG code search, and support for geoid, plane grid, and vertical grid models improve precision in RTK and PPK workflows.
Mesh and manual registration improvements
Mesh modelling is now more stable and produces cleaner results. Manual registration supports aligning control points directly with point clouds for improved accuracy.
Summary
LixelStudio V3.4.1.0 refines the user experience with greater accessibility, improved accuracy, and more stable performance.
From K1 point cloud support to advanced rendering and measurement tools, this version strengthens LixelStudio’s role as a leading solution for professional point cloud processing and 3D data management.
