XGRIDS PortalCam now supports Aerial-Ground Fusion

XGRIDS PortalCam now supports Aerial-Ground Fusion

XGRIDS Lixel CyberColor V1.10 update adds Aerial-Ground Fusion for PortalCam for seamless integration of drone and ground scans. Map Fusion support also added.

XGRIDS PortalCam now supports Aerial–Ground Fusion and Map Fusion workflows, following the release of the Lixel CyberColor v1.10 update.

This update unlocks new possibilities for PortalCam, allowing ground-based captures to be used alongside aerial drone data or combined across multiple capture sessions within the same spatial scene.

With this release, PortalCam scans can now be integrated into LCC’s core fusion workflows, including:

  • Aerial–Ground Fusion: Combining aerial drone data with detailed ground-level scans to create comprehensive, unified 3D models.

  • Map Fusion: Aligning and stitching multi-session PortalCam captures to reconstruct expansive, continuous environments.

By bringing PortalCam into LCC’s fusion pipeline, advanced reconstruction capabilities are now accessible through a more flexible capture approach. Projects can begin with handheld ground scans and scale seamlessly into large, fully integrated fusion scenes.

With XGRIDS PortalCam now supporting aerial–ground fusion, heliguy™ is strategically positioned to support these workflows by combining our PortalCam ground scanning expertise, established drone supply and support, and in-house survey capabilities.
