XGRIDS releases major firmware updates

XGRIDS has released a major firmware update, with new features for the L2 Pro and LixelKity K1 handheld scanners, as well as the LixelStudio software and LixelGo app.

Enhancements include mesh modelling improvements and optimised point clouds.

LixelStudio Version 3.6.1.0: What's new?

Panoramic Trajectory and POI Browsing

Added support for browsing panoramic trajectories and Points of Interest (POI). Users can now set POIs during the data acquisition process.

Optimised Features

• Urban Canyon Accuracy Enhancement: Optimised algorithms to significantly improve positioning accuracy in urban canyon scenarios.

• Point Cloud Enhancement: Comprehensive optimization of point cloud enhancement algorithms, resulting in more uniform density and more natural distribution.

• Mesh Modeling Improvements: Further refined mesh modeling algorithms to enhance the overall quality of generated models.

L2 Pro V3.2.1: What's new?

• The device now switches to Quick Connect mode by default.

• Updated the USB storage mode logic: the device automatically switches to USB storage mode when connected to a computer.

• Added support for generating historical model preview files after scanning is completed.

• Added support for Points of Interest (POI).

• Added a data availability check feature.

• Optimised camera ISP parameters, resulting in more vivid and vibrant colours.

• Fixed an issue causing Bluetooth connection timeouts.

• When using scanner firmware v3.2.1 with LixelGO v1.3.0, historical model viewing is supported and Quick Connect mode is enabled by default.

• Scanner firmware v3.2.1 with LixelGO versions below v1.3.0 supports Quick Connect mode only.

• Scanner firmware below v3.2.1 with LixelGO v1.3.0 does not support historical model viewing.

• Please back up all data on the device before upgrading the firmware.
