Can I still do a GVC, or do I need to do RPC Level 1?

You can still do a GVC until 31 December 2027, after which the CAA will no longer issue it. Existing GVCs remain valid until they expire.

RPC Level 1 is now our recommended route. It better reflects how pilots are trained and assessed going forward. It is also the entry point for progression to RPC-L2, which covers BVLOS operations in ARC-a, where no other air traffic is expected. Beyond that, it leads to RPC-L3 for more complex BVLOS operations.
