What is reality capture?
Reality capture is the process of collecting real-world data and converting it into digital 3D models or environments. It uses technologies such as LiDAR, photogrammetry, mobile mapping, and 3D Gaussian Splatting to capture accurate spatial and visual information. The resulting datasets can be used for surveying, construction, asset management, inspections, and digital twin creation.
