DJI Terra Firmware Update: V4.5.0
New update brings optimised accuracy and additional support for PPK processing, among other enhancements.
DJI has released a new firmware update for DJI Terra - and it brings some significant upgrades.
Key enhancements of v4.5.0 - released on April 24, 2025 - include the introduction of scale constraints in visible light reconstruction tasks, added support for setting 2D map resolution based on GSD, and additional PPK support.
DJI Terra V4.5.0: New features
DJI Terra's latest update is designed to further improve drone survey tasks.
Model Scale Constraints
The firmware update enables users to set scale constraints to adjust the model size in visible light reconstruction tasks.
This enables the fine-tuning of the size of 3D models, ensuring digital reconstructions align accurately with real-world dimensions.
2D Map Resolutions
Users can now benefit from the ability to set 2D map resolution based on GSD. This helps to enhance the precision of 2D mapping outputs.
Extended PPK Support
This latest version of Terra adds support for PPK processing of data collected by:
Zenmuse L1 and Zenmuse L2 - photos only;
Zenmuse P1, Mavic 3M, Mavic 3E, Matrice 3D, Matrice 4D, Matrice 4TD, Matrice 4T, and Matrice 4E - visible light reconstruction tasks.

Make sure to use the latest firmware version when collecting data.
Coordinate System Recommendations
DJI Terra now offers coordinate system recommendations. This recommends horizontal and vertical coordinate systems in certain countries and regions.
DJI Terra V4.5.0: Updated features
DJI Terra v4.5.0 brings several updates. These are:
Optimised the accuracy of point cloud output in weak texture areas during visible light reconstruction tasks.
Optimised the upload size of reconstruction results for agricultural applications, supporting a maximum area of 10,000 mu and single file size not exceeding 5 GB for 2D output data.
New fixes
The update resolves numerous issues. These are:
Fixed the issue where the colour band representing elevation in the point cloud did not align with the actual height after modifying the model coordinate system.
Fixed the issue where an excessive number of marks prevented the GCP function from being accessed.
Fixed the issue of abnormal texture mapping in some visible light 2D reconstruction outputs in version 4.4.6.
