Live demo showcases drones for public safety and inspection

heliguy™ and DroneControl teamed up to stage a live-action demo, showcasing innovative tech for public safety and inspection operations.

The event was held at Colne Valley Railway, in Essex, on July 2, 2025. During the event, we flew the DJI FlyCart 30, demonstrating how this cargo platform can be deployed to provide mission-critical supplies and equipment.

We took to the skies with the new DJI Matrice 400 - highlighting the drone's upgraded features - and conducted a powerline inspection to illustrate the data-capture qualities of the H30T.

The event also featured scenario-based demonstrations to show how the DroneControl software ecosystem can empower incident response and inspection, including through its live streaming and remote control capabilities.

DJI dealer heliguy™ is a UK partner of DroneControl, which is an all-in-one software solution for commercial drone operations. It is compatible with DJI hardware, and features pilot, team, and fleet management; automatic flight logs; and a secure live-streaming app. The live-streaming app is also available separately.

During the event, our instructors presented a talk on the new Remote Pilot Certificates (L1-4).

It was a pleasure to help host the demo day, showing how drone hardware/software can improve efficiency and safety.
