The North Shields-based drone expert is in the running to win the Retail and Service Provider Award. The ceremony will take place at the revamped Spanish City, at Whitley Bay, on Thursday, November 15. 35295426602_da0d044ab1_o.jpg Scott Henderson, Operations Manager at Heliguy, said that the company was honoured to be named as a finalist. “We are proud and humbled to be nominated for the Retail and Service Provider Award at the North Tyneside Business Awards 2018,” he said. He added:

This has been a result of meticulous planning, dedication and passion from the whole team. We have nurtured our customers, enabling them to advance faster in the commercial drone industry. This has been achieved by empowering our staff so they become better versions of themselves. We are now looking to the future - recognition as a brand synonymous with one of the most exciting and challenging industries in the world.”

Heliguy is shortlisted for the Retail and Service Provider Award alongside NBT Group, in Killingworth, and Oatein, in Whitley Bay. The category, sponsored by the North Tyneside Business Forum, recognises businesses who sell a product or service. Other categories in the North Tyneside Business Awards are New Business, Leisure and Tourism, Manufacturing and Construction, and Digital and Innovation, as well as the public voted-for Heart of the Community Award. There will also be the North Tyneside Business of the Year Award and an additional Special Contribution accolade for a business which contributes a great deal to the life and economy of the Borough. 35818651573_80356a222e_o.jpg Founded in Alnwick, Northumberland, in 2008, Heliguy moved to Orion Business Park, at North Shields, in 2013, as part of a business expansion. And the firm hasn’t looked back. Over the years, the company has grown its reputation within the drone industry and is the UK’s leading retailer of world-renowned technology giant, DJI. Heliguy sells a range of drones, including those which are changing the landscape in the enterprise sector, such as the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise - designed for public safety - and the DJI Phantom 4 RTK, which is an accurate low-altitude mapping solution. Heliguy also has a drone-rental offer. Clients of Heliguy include Balfour Beatty, Banks Mining, Northern Powergrid and numerous police forces, among many others companies and organisations. Heliguy, which also offers a repairs service, expert advice and a customer-friendly experience, is accredited by the Civil Aviation Authority to provide PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) training. The company also delivers bespoke tutorials. Earlier this week, Heliguy hosted an Emergency Services Roadshow in Lincoln, which was attended by 50 emergency-service personnel, including representatives from almost half of the UK’s police forces. Held in partnership with DJI, the event doubled up as the official UK launch of the Mavic 2 Enterprise. Image-from-iOS-1.jpg For more information, visit www.heliguy.com or call 0191 296 1024.
