There are some basic flight manoeuvres that will set you in good stead when it comes to flying the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. This includes things such as yaw, tilt and pan.
After mastering these first steps using the Remote Controller, you can move onto intermediate and then professional flight manoeuvres. But before we try out professional manoeuvres let's test our basic DJI Phantom 4 Pro skills with this fast heliguy™ tutorial.
Getting started with basic flight controls
Choose Your Remote Controller: Ensure your remote controller is fully charged and connected to the drone.
Take Off: Power on the aircraft, check your surroundings, and use the takeoff function in the DJI GO 4 app or manually take off by pushing the control sticks appropriately.
Left Stick Controls (Altitude & Yaw)
Push up to ascend and down to descend.
Move left or right to rotate the drone (yaw) in either direction.
Right Stick Controls (Pitch & Roll)
Push forward or backward to move the drone forward or backward (pitch).
Move left or right to strafe the drone sideways (roll).
Landing: Slowly descend using the left stick and bring the drone to a gentle landing.
