How to reset DJI drone ownership?

Step 1: Contact the original owner to unbind the drone and the original account.

  1. Log in to the DJI Fly app with the original DJI account bound to the drone.

  2. Tap [Profile > Device Management > Select Device > Remove Device from Account > Device Unbinding Info > Next].

  3. Check the account and drone serial number (SN), and tap “Confirm” to complete unbinding.

Step 2: Once the previous owner has successfully unbound the drone from their account, the new owner can proceed to bind the drone to their account.

  1. Log in to the DJI Fly app with a new DJI account, and connect the drone, remote controller, and mobile phone.

  2. Tap [Profile > Device Management > Select Device > Remove Device from Account > Device Unbinding Info > Next].

  3. Check the account and drone serial number (SN), and tap “Confirm” to complete binding.

Step 3: The new owner binds the drone to the remote controller.

  1. After connecting the drone to a remote controller, select “Value-added Service” in “Device Management” and tap “Bind New Device”.

  2. Read through “Remote Controller Binding Info”, and tap “Next”.

  3. Check the account, drone serial number (SN), and remote controller SN, and tap “Confirm” to complete binding.

Please note that to protect the ownership of the product and in respect of the user privacy and regulations, only the account owner has the right to unbind the drone with the associated account.
