How to get started...
Scan the QR code: Open the box and scan the QR code on the yellow sticker to download and install the DJI Fly app.
Access additional guidance: Use the same QR code to view the tutorial video and read the user manual.
Remove items carefully: Carefully remove the DJI Avata 2, Goggles 3, RC Motion 3, and other accessories from the package.
If you have the Fly More Combo (Three Batteries) version, it also includes a sling bag, two additional Intelligent Flight Batteries, and a Two-Way Charging Hub, compared with the Single Battery version.
Buttons and ports
Operate and adjust your DJI Avata 2, DJI Goggles 3, and RC Motion 3 by...
Access the ports on the DJI Avata 2: Open the rubber plug on the side of the drone to locate the USB-C port and microSD card slot.
Navigate the menu on DJI Goggles 3:
Locate the 5D button and back button on the upper right corner of the goggles.
Push the 5D button to scroll through the menu or adjust parameter values.
Press the 5D button to confirm a selection, then use the back button to return to the previous menu or exit the current view.
Locate additional features on the goggles:
The power button and USB-C port are positioned on the lower right corner.
Adjust the lens distance and diopter by rotating the knobs on the bottom of the goggles.
The microSD card slot and proximity sensor are found above the nose bridge, within the foam padding.
Operate the DJI RC Motion 3:
Familiarise yourself with the lock button, joystick, mode button, dial, shutter/record button, and accelerator.
Use the USB-C port on the bottom of the motion controller for charging or connecting to DJI Assistant 2.
Tip: The goggles' screen automatically turns on when the proximity sensor detects the user is wearing them.
Charging and powering on
How to power your Avata 2...
Activate multiple batteries simultaneously: Insert three Intelligent Flight Batteries into the charging hub and connect it to a power outlet to activate them all at once.

Charge the goggles and motion controller: Use the USB-C port to charge both devices.
Monitor battery levels during charging: The battery level LEDs blink in sequence to display the current charge level.
Prepare devices for first use: Fully charge all devices before first use to ensure sufficient power for activation and firmware updates.
Power on devices: Press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds to power on the goggles, motion controller, and aircraft.
TIPS:
It is recommended to use the DJI 65W USB-C charger or other USB Power Delivery chargers with a charging power of 30W or greater.
The goggles will enter standby mode if idle for more than 3 minutes and automatically power off after 10 minutes of standby.
Activation
How to activate your Avata 2 devices...
Connect the goggles to a mobile device: Use a suitable data cable and the USB-C OTG cable provided to connect the USB-C port on the goggles to your mobile device.
Ensure internet access: Keep your mobile phone connected to the internet and launch the DJI Fly app.
Register or log in to your DJI account: Create a new account or log in to an existing one.
Activate your devices: Follow the on-screen prompts in the DJI Fly app to complete the activation process.
Tip: If you have purchased or plan to purchase DJI Care Refresh, make sure to complete the purchase and binding process within 48 hours of activating the aircraft.
Updating firmware
When a new firmware update prompt appears on the DJI Fly app, tap it to enter the update screen, and then tap update to update all devices to the latest firmware version. You can also use DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series) to update the aircraft.
TIPS:
During the update, it is normal for the devices to restart automatically. Do not power off the devices or exit the DJI Fly app.
If the goggles are connected to a PC via USB-C fast charging, go to the goggles menu, select Settings > About, and enter the OTG Wired Connection mode to update.
You can also use DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series) to update the aircraft, the goggles, and the motion controller separately.
