DJI firmware updates - March 2026: What's new
DJI has released firmware updates during March 2026, bringing new features to solutions such as DJI M400, DJI Zenmuse L3, DJI Terra, DJI FlightHub 2, and more.
It's been a busy month of DJI firmware updates.
Upgrades have been released for drones such as the DJI M400, DJI Matrice 4 Series, and DJI Dock 3; payloads including the DJI Zenmuse L3; and the DJI Terra and DJI FlightHub 2 software platforms.
New functions were unlocked to coincide with the launch of the DJI Avata 360 drone, while the v1.0.0 firmware release marked the official launch of DJI Reality.
This blog details the DJI firmware updates for March 2026.
DJI Matrice 400 firmware update: v17.00.01.00
This DJI M400 firmware update was released on March 31, 2026.
What's new?
Added support to perform close-range tasks by default when switched to T-mode. In this case, the minimum flight speed is 0.5 m/s, and minimum horizontal obstacle avoidance distance is 1.5 m.
Added support to enable Cleaning mode. When enabled, Cleaning mode is activated when switching to T-mode. In this case, only the millimeter-wave radar is effective for obstacle avoidance, and the minimum horizontal obstacle avoidance distance is 1.5 m. Ensure the visual and LiDAR sensors are clean to maintain stable positioning. Carefully read the flight safety advice in DJI Pilot 2 before operation.
Added RTH battery reserve setting in Battery Settings to ensure flight safety. The actual reserved power will be higher than the set value when Delivery mode is enabled.
Delivery mode can be enabled via the PSDK interface.
Added support to record videos that meet MISB standards when used with H30 series cameras.
Added support for 4G enhanced transmission data usage tips.
Fixed the issue where the BS100 battery station repeatedly restarts under certain conditions.

DJI FlightHub 2 (Public) firmware update
This DJI FlightHub 2 firmware update, for the Public version of DJI FlightHub 2, was released on March 31, 2026.
What's new?
DJI FlightHub 2 Copilot - AI-Powered Drone Control Assistant
Copilot, an intelligent aircraft control assistant, is now available in the FlightHub virtual cockpit. Use natural language or voice input to control the drone in real time and execute complex tasks.
High-Definition Panorama
Added support for 500MP high-definition panoramas for DJI Dock 3 and DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise. Environment information can be collected efficiently.
3x zoom can be set in virtual cockpit and waypoint route settings to capture sphere panoramas, automatic stitching is available after capture, and high-definition results can be viewed in the media file library. Related features such as analyser import and timelines are supported.
Change Detection Pro (Beta)
Powered by the VLM, Change Detection Pro removes angle limitations. It can now detect changes even from non-orthophoto photos taken at the same waypoint.
The analyser timeline now includes an SBS view, allowing users to compare any two inspection datasets from the same waypoint route. Change Detection Pro highlights changed areas, making inspection reviews more efficient and intuitive.
Resource Library Upgrade
The original Media Library, Model Library, and Design Files have been merged into the 'Resource Library' for unified, more convenient management.
FlightHub Sync
FlightHub 2 FlightHub Sync Beta has completed testing and validation. It will be gradually phased out and replaced by the new FlightHub Sync.
File Sync – Now supports cross-configuration of file type, project, and bucket. Multiple buckets can be configured.
Telemetry Data Sync – A new telemetry data sync feature that enables real-time sync of the attitude data to third-party platforms.
RTSP Protocol – Livestream forwarding now supports the RTSP protocol.
Third-Party Airspace Data Management – Supports configuring airspace information from third-party providers and displaying it within FlightHub.

Added support for Portuguese and Russian.
Supports setting the earliest/latest execution start time in New Task of the task plan library.
Supports repair requests after Device Damage Assessment and Issue Reports, as well as direct one-click repair requests, simplifying the troubleshooting process and improving O&M efficiency.
DJI Terra firmware update: V5.2.0
This DJI Terra firmware update was released on March 26, 2026.
What's new?
Supports automatic GCP target recognition for fully automatic GCP marking; no repeated manual effort for re-surveys, labour cost for GCP marking reduced to nearly zero. GCP data collected with the DJI D-RTK 3 can be directly imported, and the software will auto-recognise.
New Efficiency Mode and Power Mode settings to maximise PC hardware utilisation, and reduce the project delivery window.
2D output now supports GeoTIFF (COG) format, dramatically boosting loading and browsing speed in downstream software, making 2D results ready to use immediately.
Supports importing HEIF format photos captured by Zenmuse L3, which can save storage space by more than 30%.
Bug reports now support uploading more attachments.

Optimised the parsing rules for base station centre points in LiDAR point cloud reconstruction tasks to enhance the accuracy of base station centre points.
Optimised the quality of 2D reconstructed digital orthophoto maps (DOMs) from oblique flight route data, resulting in clearer and more natural imagery.
Optimised the display of coordinate systems and output parameters for reconstruction tasks within the bug report.
Optimised 3DGS in visible light reconstruction tasks, enhancing the reconstruction results of the Extra High quality setting and increasing the reconstruction efficiency of the High Quality setting.
Optimised the efficiency of 2D map reconstruction in LiDAR point cloud tasks using data collected by the Zenmuse L3.
Noise reduction and accuracy improvement are now enabled by default in visible light point cloud projects.
What's fixed?
Fixed an issue where contour line intervals were inaccurate when feet was used as the measurement unit in the output.
DJI Reality firmware update: v1.0.0
This DJI Reality firmware update was released on March 26, 2026.
It marked the official release of the DJI Reality 3D model viewer, integrated as part of DJI Terra. Find out more, here.
Notes:
DJI Reality currently only supports the Windows operating system.
A single DJI Reality project supports one of the following data types: Point cloud, 3D mesh, and 3DGS.
DJI Reality allows models within the same project to be loaded in mixed formats, but only if they use the same coordinate system.
DJI Reality supports models reconstructed with DJI Terra v3.7 or later. However, for compatibility with TerraGS, models must be reconstructed with DJI Terra v5.1.0 or later.
DJI Reality supports models exported from DJI Modify v1.1.0 or later.
