Instructions
1. Powering On / Off
Unfold the antennas downward.
Extend the screen arm to power on the controller.
To power off: press the power button once, then press and hold it for two seconds.
2. Activation
On first power-up, select your language and region.
Connect the controller to a Wi-Fi network.
Set the time zone, date, and time.
Log in with your DJI Account (new users must register).
After activation, tap Start to enter the function guide.
If the status LED blinks cyan, the control stick isn’t centred. Launch the DJI Fly App and follow the prompts to calibrate.
3. Firmware Update
If a firmware update is available, a prompt will appear.
Tap the prompt to enter the update screen, then tap Update.
Make sure the controller is charged to at least 20% before updating.
Do not exit the DJI Fly app or disconnect from the internet during the update.
The controller will automatically restart once the update is complete.
4. Linking the Remote Controller
If purchased as a combo with the aircraft (Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo) the controller is already linked.
If not, tap Linking Guide in the bottom-right corner of DJI Fly and follow the instructions:
When the controller beeps and its status indicator flashes blue, start linking.
Press and hold the aircraft power button for 4 seconds, then release after the tone.
A moving icon on the aircraft’s power indicator confirms linking has begun.
Once the controller light turns solid green and the aircraft displays battery level, linking is successful.
If linking fails:
Use DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drone Series) on a computer to update both devices before trying again.
5. Sleep Mode
Fold the arm or press the power button to turn off the screen.
The controller enters sleep mode after the screen is off for a short period; status LED pulses blue.
While asleep, the controller disconnects to save power.
Extend the arm or press the power button to wake it and restore the connection.
If not woken within 1 hour, it powers off automatically.
Go to Settings > Display to adjust screen timeout.
