Dock 3 vs Dock 2: solar panel inspection datasets compared
Heliguy’s Dock team recently inspected the Morrison Busty solar farm in Durham with the Dock 3 and M4TD, working alongside Durham County Council. This mission focused on assessing solar panels ahead of their replacement.
Thermal inspection datasets provide clear insights into panel performance, with brighter orange highlights marking potential defects. Thermal data can help highlight issues not visible with the naked eye.
The DJI Dock ecosystem enables an on-site, ready-to-deploy solution to conduct on-demand inspections.
Our team will soon return for a follow-up survey to compare results and track differences between operational and non-functional panels.
This project builds on last year’s deployment of Dock 2 at the same site.
