Drone model of Everton FC's new stadium

LiDAR point cloud created with DJI Zenmuse L2 shows Everton's new 52,888 ground during part of the construction phase.

Everton FC are playing their final season at Goodison Park - and this 3D model using DJI Zenmuse L2 data shows the club's new stadium during part of the construction phase.

Drone LiDAR has been used throughout the stadium development, including to monitor infilling at Bramley-Moore Dock and for earthworks calculations. Read the full story, here.

As this model shows, the L2 - which integrates frame LiDAR, a high-accuracy IMU, and an RGB mapping camera - can create true-colour point clouds.

Flights conducted at the new stadium showed that the L2 achieved an absolute error of 37mm from 100m flight altitude.

Everton are set to move to their new stadium next season.
