Reality capture with the XGRIDS L2 Pro
Gaussian Splat of Newcastle's Central Arcade created with the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro handheld laser scanner. Also see the colourised point cloud.
This photo-realistic Gaussian Splat was created using the XGRIDS Lixel L2 Pro handheld scanner.
It took our in-house geospatial team eight minutes to survey Newcastle's Central Arcade, demonstrating the device's ability to scan at speed and map indoor environments.
The Lixel L2 Pro combines LiDAR, visual, and IMU modules with AI, delivering real-time point cloud data.
The data was processed through the XGRIDS Lixel CyberColour (LCC) studio.
This technology is a powerful tool for reality capture: Enabling ultra-realistic and large-scale 3D modelling, yielding incredible immersive experiences for applications such as surveying, real estate/virtual tours, gaming, the film industry, and VR/AR.
