DJI Matrice 210 V2
The second iteration of DJI's Matrice 210 Drone
Matrice 210 V2 - The Perfect Commercial Drone
An aerial platform designed from the ground up for commercial operators.
This Matrice 210 V2 drone takes all the best features of the original Matrice 210 quadcopter and adds even more functionality.
These include enhanced flight performance, even more secure data transmission and IP43 weather resistance.
The DJI Matrice 210 V2 is a powerful industrial-grade flight platform with world-class agility and speed, redundant barometers and IMUs for maximum reliability and smart flight features that make capturing complex shots easy.
The second generation of the popular Matrice 210 Series retains its durable design, simple setup and easy configurability, while upgrading key systems for improved flight performance and adding flight safety and data security features.
The new M210 Series V2 has new and improved features, designed for professionals across industries who are ready to transform their daily operations with a versatile platform.
The aircraft's visual sensors enable enhanced hovering precision, even when flying indoors or in environments where GNSS is unavailable.
The built-in AirSense makes you aware of your surrounding airspace to ensure flight safety.
The mechanical design, along with quick-release landing gears and mounted folding arms, makes it easy to transport, store and prepare for flight.
The safety beacons on both the top and bottom of the aircraft allow it to be identified at night or in low-light conditions.
An advanced power management system, along with dual batteries, ensures power supply and enhances flight safety.
The M210 V2 is compatible with many of DJI's DGC2.0 connector gimbals, supporting a single upward gimbal or dual downward gimbals. It is equipped with many expansion ports to broaden its applications. Without a payload, the M210 V2 has a flight time of up to 38 minutes with standard batteries (TB55).
The M210 V2 is also compatible with the Cendence S remote controller, which features DJI's OcuSync 2.0 technology for a maximum transmission distance of up to 7km.

Drone Laws, Licences and Training Requirements
Drone Registration
Do I need UK drone registration?
Yes, you will need to register. Visit the CAA’s DMARES website. If you have already registered and have an Operator ID, ensure this is attached to your Inspire 2.
Where Can I Fly?
Without taking a drone training course, you will have to fly by the rules of the Open Category’s A3 subcategory (fly far from people). This says:
- No uninvolved people present within the area of flight;
- No flight within 150m horizontally of residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational areas.
Want more freedom? Take a drone training course.
Recommended Training
GVC
The recommended training is a GVC course. A GVC will allow you to apply to the CAA for an Operational Authorisation, which permits flights in the Specific Category.
The Specific Category is for operations that present a greater risk than that of the Open Category, or where one or more elements of the operation fall outside the boundaries of the Open Category. The Specific Category is aimed at enterprise drone operators.
How Do I Get a GVC?
Complete a GVC with Heliguy - a UK CAA-approved Recognised Assessment Entity - through our online training portal.
The GVC involves a syllabus, followed by a multiple-choice examination (sat remotely with Heliguy). Candidates are also required to produce an Operations Manual, and will undergo a practical flight assessment with a flight examiner.
Can I Fly Commercially With a GVC?
Yes. Having a GVC allows you to apply for an Operational Authorisation, which has replaced the Permission for Commercial Operation (PfCO).
What Happens If I Had A Valid PfCO?
Holders of a Standard Permission valid beyond December 31, 2020, will have their permissions brought into line with the new Operational Authorisation (which has replaced the PfCO) to enable operations in the Specific Category. On renewal, this permission will become an Operational Authorisation. This means that you will not need to sit a GVC course yet, but will be required to complete a PfCO to GVC conversion course before January 1, 2024.
From January 2023 (End of Transitional Period)
The rules will change for DJI aircraft in their current form. Updated information released nearer the time.
