Full Description

DJI Mini SE Drone

Ultralight and ultra-fun mini drone from DJI

The Mini SE is an ultra lightweight drone, perfect for beginners and content creation on the go.

The Mini SE is available as a standard package, as well as the Fly More Combo with extra accessories.

Key features:

  • Sub 249g
  • 3-axis gimbal
  • 2.7k /30fps video
  • 12MP camera
  • 2km (CE version) HD video transmission
  • 30 minutes maximum flight time
  • Vision sensor + GPS Precise Hover
  • Simplified recording/editing

Mini SE - Camera And Content Creation

Content Creation On The Go

DJI Mini SE is able to capture 12MP photos and 2.7K Quad HD videos.

A 3-axis motorised gimbal ensures clear, ultra-smooth footage.

DJI Mini SE features QuickShot modes, helping you capture quality content with just a few button taps. You can then share your automatically-generated content on social media.

Quickshot modes include:

  • Dronie: The aircraft flies backward and ascends, with the camera locked on the subject.
  • Circle: The aircraft circles around the subject.
  • Helix: The aircraft ascends and spirals around the subject.
  • Rocket: The aircraft ascends with the camera pointing downward.

Mini SE also has CineSmooth Mode, which slows the drone’s speed and movements for an added layer of precision and stability. This mode is especially useful when flying in narrow or complex spaces.

Mini SE - The Ultrasafe Beginner’s Drone

The Mini SE is great for beginners, thanks to its ease of control and its super lightweight frame.

Weighing under 249 grams, DJI Mini SE is almost as light as the average smartphone.

This makes it exceptionally portable and places it in the lowest and safest weight class of drones. In the UK, its sub 250g weight means that drone training (A2 CofC/GVC) is not required. Find out more in our guide to UK drone laws.

DJI Mini SE can also be used with a 360° Propeller Guard (available separately) that fully protects the propellers and improves flight safety.

Advanced sensors also help the DJI Mini SE to hover precisely.

New to flying? The DJI Fly app features a Flight Tutorial, to help you get started with DJI Mini SE quickly and safely.

The drone’s dedicated remote controller maintains an HD video feed at a distance of up to 2 km (CE version). Detachable control sticks can be easily stored inside the remote controller for added portability.

Mini SE Vs Mini SE Fly More Combo

In The Box: Mini SE Vs Mini SE Fly More Combo

The Mini SE is available in two versions: The standard package and the Fly More Combo.

The Combo features additional accessories, such as the two-way charging hub, a carrying bag, and additional props and batteries.

It works out cheaper to buy the Combo than purchasing these extra accessories separately.

Mini SE Vs Mini 2 Vs Mavic Mini

The DJI Mini SE uses the aircraft design of DJI Mini 2, while providing many of the same performance specs as the original Mavic Mini.

One of the biggest differences between the Mini SE and the Mini 2 is its video capability: The Mini SE captures 2K/30fps, while the Mini 2 can do 4K/30fps.

The Mini SE has the higher wind-speed resistance of 8.5-10.5 m/s (Scale 5) compared to the original Mavic Mini. The Mini SE’s wind-speed resistance is the same as the Mini 2.

The key advantage of the Mini SE compared to the Mini 2 and the Mini is the price, with the Mini SE significantly cheaper than its predecessors.

Footnotes

Footnotes

1. The standard weight of the aircraft (including battery, propellers, and a microSD card) is 242 grams. Actual product weight may vary. Registration is not required in some countries and regions. Check local rules and regulations before use. These specifications have been determined through tests conducted with the latest firmware. Firmware updates can enhance performance, so updating to the latest firmware is highly recommended.
2. Due to local policy and regulation restrictions, the 5.8 GHz frequency band is currently banned in certain countries, including but not limited to Japan, Russia, Israel, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. Please use the 2.4 GHz frequency band when operating in these locations. Always check local rules and regulations before use, as they may change over time.
3.Maximum flight range specification is a proxy for radio link strength and resilience, not aircraft battery capability. It only refers to the maximum, one-way flight distance. Data was measured in an open environment without interference. Please pay attention to the return prompt on the DJI Fly app during actual flight. Refer to the following applicable standard in different countries and regions:

FCC: United States, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and other regions;

SRRC: Mainland China;

CE: UK, Russia, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Macau, New Zealand, UAE, and other regions;

MIC: Japan.
