DJI firmware updates - April 2026: What's new

DJI has pushed a series of firmware updates across its drone ecosystem during April 2026.

Firmware updates have been released for drones including DJI Neo 2, DJI Avata 360, and DJI Lito Series; software such as DJI Modify and DJI FlightHub 2, and the DJI Power 1000 Mini powerbank.

DJI Modify v.1.6.0

The v1.6.0 firmware update for DJI Modify was released on April 9, 2026.

What's new?

• Supports switching between perspective and orthographic projection in 3D mesh models.

• Supports reducing triangular faces and texture to the specified ratios in 3D mesh models, reducing the exported file size and improving browsing performance in downstream software.

• Supports drawing cubes in 3D mesh models and exporting orthophotos of a custom plane.

• Supports block merging for 3D mesh models in PLY, OBJ, or FBX formats.

• Supports displaying the coordinate system and position of 3D mesh models.

• Supports merging and exporting point clouds into a single output file.

• Supports switching display unit between foot and metre for point cloud and 3D mesh projects.

• Supports importing and exporting LAZ files in point cloud projects.

• Supports simultaneously displaying profile measurement markers in the main window of point cloud projects.

• Supports inverting point cloud selection in the main window or profile of point cloud projects.

What's updated?

• Optimised the efficiency of mesh flattening, deletion, and texture editing in 3D mesh models.

• Optimised the display of coordinate system and positions in point cloud projects.

What's fixed?

• Fixed an issue where render cracks appeared after importing a Terra-reconstructed 3D mesh models into Modify for hole filling, caused by missing coordinate system file information.

DJI Neo 2 firmware update: v01.00.0600

The DJI Neo 2 v01.00.0600 firmware update was released on April 23, 2026.

What's new?

• Added support for Live Photo capture in SelfieShot and Spotlight mode.

• Added support for 4K 100fps and 1080P 100fps video recording in Palm Control.

• Fixed some known issues.

DJI FlightHub 2 (Public Version) firmware update

This firmware update, for the public version of DJI FlightHub 2, was released on April 15, 2026.

What's new?

• Multimodal Recognition for Flight Routes: The task plan library now supports enabling multimodal recognition, allowing specified objects to be identified during flight route execution. Users are notified through designated methods when recognition is triggered.

• Resource Library Recycle Bin: A recycle bin has been added to the resource library. Deleted files are moved to the recycle bin first. Periodic auto-emptying can be configured to free up storage space.
