Heliguy has been honoured with a Top 10 Partner of the Year (Europe) award from DJI Enterprise.
The accolade was presented during a major conference in Germany last week, during which we were the only UK company to give a presentation to industry experts from across the continent.
Speaking in front of a large audience, Heliguy's Business Development Manager Ruairi Hardman set out our strategy for helping businesses start and scale their commercial drone programmes with DJI technology and how we are supporting a cross-section of top-level enterprise clients, from police forces to major firms such as Balfour Beatty.
The event was a unique opportunity for us to showcase our work in nurturing the European enterprise drone market.
Heliguy Honoured To Win Award
Heliguy is delighted to be honoured with DJI's Top 10 Partner of the Year (Europe) award.
The accolade is a testament to our industry-leading approach to servicing the enterprise drone market utilising a range of DJI equipment, from top-of-the-range drones, to high-class sensors and ancillaries.
It also recognises our unique model, which not only includes supply - including drone hire - but also aftercare, training and R&D opportunities.
Taking this approach, we are helping to grow and develop the enterprise drone market and help commercial clients scale their UAS (unmanned aircraft system) programmes.
Reflecting on the accolade, Mr Hardman said: "Being awarded a Top 10 Partner of the Year (Europe) award is a testament to the hard-working and talented team at Heliguy. We thank DJI for this recognition."
Putting DJI Technology At The Heart Of Enterprise Drone Programmes
Heliguy was delighted to be given the chance to give a presentation at the conference.
Mr Hardman told the audience that, regardless of the industry vertical, in our experience every enterprise client has different needs and challenges to overcome in adopting UAS technology.

Therefore, Heliguy invests heavily on managing stakeholders and expectations.
However, for all of this effort, one thing is fundamental - you need effective, reliable and efficient drone technology to build any commercial drone programme.
This is why Heliguy puts DJI equipment at the core of its enterprise clients' programmes, as it is capable, safe, proven, customisable and scalable, which in turn helps customers build and expand their UAS programmes.
What Progress Have We Made In The Enterprise Sector?
Heliguy works with top clients across a range of industry verticals, including more than 40 emergency services and major companies/organisations such as Balfour Beatty, National Grid, Sellafield Sites and the BBC, among others.
Drones are becoming an essential tool for the emergency services.
In fact, there are around 1,000 DJI enterprise drones in operation throughout the UK which have been supplied and are continuously supported by Heliguy. We deal with an average of 250 communications with our clients per day; 75 per cent of which are associated with enterprise users.
Mr Hardman told the panel: "We are incredibly passionate and dedicated to nurturing and supporting emergency organisations and other enterprise users that are out there using these tools for the missions they were designed for, day and night."

Mr Hardman gave some examples of how some of our enterprise clients are benefiting from drones.
London Fire Brigade
Heliguy has helped to grow London Fire Brigade's drone division, which has deployed a range of DJI drones in almost 200 live operations in 12 months.
One example of how London Fire Brigade has used drones was during a major warehouse fire in Beckenham, where the crews utilised a DJI M210 with XT2 thermal camera to provide vital pictures to incident commanders, giving useful aerial views of the blaze and thermal images which show the fire hot-spots.

Balfour Beatty
Heliguy is Balfour Beatty's preferred drone supplier and the major infrastructure firm is benefitting from this technology.
Earlier this year, Heliguy visited Balfour Beatty to see how the company is using drones - including the DJI Phantom 4 RTK - on a multi-million-pound Smart Motorway project on the M6 in The Midlands.
For this scheme, Balfour Beatty has used drones for quicker stockpile measurements, informative aerial progress reports and to access hard-to-reach areas, which in turn has helped to enhance safety, increase efficiency, gather data faster, improve asset productivity and gain high-accuracy results.

Terra Drone Europe
Drones are playing a vital role in Terra Drone Europe's operations and are helping to save time and reduce risk.
In one case, Terra Drone Europe (formerly Skeye BV) used a DJI M200 with a Z30 zoom camera to carry out offshore inspections for a major oil company, while in another, a Phantom 4 RTK was used to for international breakwater surveys.
The DJI M200 has become an essential part of Terra Drone Europe's (formerly Skeye BV) fleet.
Teaming up with Heliguy, Terra Drone Europe also carried out a Phantom 4 RTK accuracy report, proving that this next-generation mapping tool is capable of achieving some very precise data.

These are just a number of examples of how drones are benefiting enterprise users.
Heliguy Training For Enterprise
As part of our comprehensive enterprise drone offering, training plays a big part of what we do, delivering specialist and bespoke courses to industry professionals.
Such training includes a dedicated ES-DOT (Emergency Services Drone Operators Training) course, which provides training for organisations such as the police, fire and rescue, ambulance, Mountain Rescue and Coast Guard. South Yorkshire Police is one of the Forces to have taken the course.

Heliguy can also offer CPD-accredited courses.
Heliguy Uses DJI AeroScope For Drone Detection
Heliguy is an expert in drone detection, specialising in DJI’s AeroScope solution, which can detect and identify rogue drones in sensitive airspace.

Thanks to our knowledge and experience, Heliguy has been a key drone-detection partner, installing and testing AeroScope at a number of major UK airports as well as putting the sites’ existing defence systems through their paces.
This vital work with leading airports comes on the back of Heliguy showcasing the specialist AeroScope system at Operation Zenith - a world-first demonstration at Manchester Airport to test how drones and traditional aircraft can safely share the same airspace.
An Honour To Attend DJI Conference
The presentation gave Heliguy the chance to explain how it is working to help to grow the enterprise drone market and highlight how drones can benefit the commercial world.
As a whole, the conference provided a fascinating opportunity to find out more about the European drone scene.
Mr Hardman said: "It was our honour and pleasure to attend the DJI European Conference and we would like to extend our gratitude to the DJI Enterprise team for holding this important annual event.
