We've come through a rigorous application process to be named on the shortlist of the Training and Certification category.

This category recognises companies and organisations who are delivering world-class training and certification.

Airwards celebrates drone industry innovation and excellence, with awards spread across numerous categories. The winners will be chosen by a select panel of judges and announced during the Airwards Winners’ Week, which runs from Monday, May 23, to Tuesday, May 31.

heliguy™ Training Development Manager, Ben Shirley, said: "We are delighted to be shortlisted for Airwards: A fitting recognition for the quality of the training we deliver.

"Our progressive training provision is designed to empower the drone industry, enabling professionals to forge a flourishing and lifelong UAS career, from becoming competent and confident remote pilots all the way through to fully-fledged operations managers.

"We constantly innovate and tailor our drone training programme to match the demands of a modern-day drone programme and to help operators maximise the ever-expanding capabilities of drone technology."

heliguy™ Drone Training

heliguy™ is an industry-leading drone training provider.

Our training ecosystem extends beyond the standard CAA-approved A2 CofC and GVC courses, focusing on progressive and standardised learning opportunities. This creates a career pathway to enable drone programmes to scale and remote pilots to benefit from expanded professional development in the UAS industry.

This provision includes industry-specific closed courses for enterprise organisations; dedicated training for the emergency services and GIS/surveying professionals; on-site complex asset inspection training to empower in-house drone programmes; fixed-wing modules; CPD (Continuing Professional Development); and an Operating Safety Case (OSC) consultancy to help operators expand their operational capabilities.

The heliguy™ Operations Manual framework has been judged to meet the highest drone industry standards, endorsed by IQ Verify against the requirements of BS ISO 21384-3: 2019.

heliguy™ has become an approved Enhanced Learning Credit (ELC) provider and we will be delivering Level 4 and Level 5 courses, accredited by Training Qualifications UK - an Ofqual-recognised Awarding Organisation. More details will be released shortly.

We've also developed the Learning Management System, providing a dedicated online learning hub for the A2 CofC and GVC, as well as additional added value learning material.

The heliguy™ in-house training team comprises experienced instructors - including ex-military personnel - with vast experience in rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.

We've taught more than 3,500 candidates, delivering training to pilots from organisations such as the Environment Agency, Network Rail, National Grid, Phillips 66, Associated British Ports, Balfour Beatty Vinci and the UK emergency services.
