After activating the battery, press the power button once, press it again and hold for two seconds to turn on the aircraft.


How do I activate DJI Mini 3?

With the DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller:

Connect your mobile device (connected to the internet) with the remote controller, and then connect to DJI Mini 3 via the DJI Fly app. Follow the instructions in the app to activate DJI Mini 3.

With DJI RC:

When using DJI RC for the first time, connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or a smartphone hot spot, and then follow the instructions in the DJI Fly app to activate the device. After activating DJI RC, connect it with DJI Mini 3 via the DJI Fly app. Follow the instructions in the app to activate the aircraft.


Is DJI Mini 3 waterproof?

No. Avoid contact with water during use as it may lead to damage of the device.

If it rains during flight, please return and land as soon as possible, and wait until the aircraft is fully dry inside and out before using it again.


Before using DJI Mini 3, what app do I need to install?

DJI Mini 3 can only be used with the DJI Fly app. You can download the latest version of DJI Fly from the DJI Mini 3 Downloads page on the DJI official website.

Compared with DJI Mini 2, what are the advantages of DJI Mini 3's design?

The design of DJI Mini 3 has the following advantages:

1: Longer flight time at the same compact size. The design allows the drone to carry larger propellers and improves the propulsion efficiency of the propellers and aircraft, resulting in an extended flight time.

2: True Vertical Shooting and expanded axes. The new design allows users to get portrait shots without the need for digital cropping. Fewer gimbal limits mean more shooting angles and added creative freedom. During high-speed flight, the aircraft angle is less restrictive of the gimbal and shooting angle.


How do I use DJI Mini 3's QuickTransfer?

DJI Mini 3 can connect directly to mobile devices via Wi-Fi. After logging in to the DJI Fly app on your mobile device, you can download photos and videos from the aircraft with a transmission rate of up to 25 MB/s, making the download process more convenient and efficient.


Method 1 (The mobile device is not connected to the DJI RC-N1 remote controller.)

1. Power on the aircraft and wait until the aircraft’s self-diagnostic tests are complete. Quickly press the power button three times to switch to QuickTransfer mode. Once the switch has occurred, the aircraft status LEDs will blink blue.
2. Make sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on the mobile device. Launch DJI Fly and a prompt will appear for connecting the aircraft.
3. Tap Connect. Once successfully connected, the files on the aircraft can be accessed and downloaded at high speed. When connecting the mobile device to the aircraft for the first time, you need to press and hold the power button for two seconds to confirm.

Method 2 (The mobile device is connected to the DJI RC-N1 remote controller.)

1. Make sure that the aircraft is connected to the mobile device via the DJI RC-N1 remote controller and that the motors have not started.
2. Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the mobile device.
3. Launch DJI Fly, enter playback, and tap the QuickTransfer icon in the upper right corner. Follow the prompts in the app to switch to QuickTransfer mode.

Download the files from the aircraft at high speed once the switching is complete.


What is the wind speed resistance of DJI Mini 3?

The max wind speed resistance of DJI Mini 3 is 10.7 m/s (Level 5).

*Wind resistance is dependent upon propulsion. In strong winds, due to the lightweight nature of the drone, slight vibration is expected. High-powered propulsion ensures the drone hovers stably or returns to home safely. DJI Mini 3 automatically controls the gimbal to adjust slightly to ensure that the footage is always stable and not affected by the wind.


Does DJI Mini 3 support manual mode for shooting photos and videos?

Yes. You can manually set camera parameters like shutter speed, ISO, and white balance in the DJI Fly app.


How do I enable HDR on DJI Mini 3?

Photo mode: DJI Mini 3 enables HDR mode by default.
Video mode: When recording video at 30fps or lower, DJI Mini 3 enables HDR mode by default.


What video resolution of DJI Mini 3 delivers the best image quality?

When recording at 4K/30fps, DJI Mini 3 can deliver optimal footage quality that takes care of both dynamic range and image details.

If you need smoother footage, you can set the frame rate to 48/50/60fps. The dynamic range of these frame rates will decrease relatively.


How does the dual native ISO technology of DJI Mini 3 work?

DJI Mini 3 features the dual native ISO values of ISO 100 and ISO 800.

Photo mode and video mode (24/25/30fps): The sensor will algorithmically integrate the images gained by the two sets of analog amplifier circuits for a better dynamic range of actual imaging.

Video mode (48/50/60fps): When you set an ISO value below 800, the drone will use the low-gain analog amplifier circuit. When you set an ISO value above or equal to 800, the drone will use the high-gain analog amplifier circuit. When recording with a frame rate of 48/50/60fps, it is recommended to set the ISO value to 100 in strong lighting environments, or 800 in low-lit environments for better imaging effects.


What is the maximum flight altitude of DJI Mini 3?

The maximum flight altitude is 500 m for safety reasons. Due to local laws and regulations, the maximum flight altitude may vary in different countries and regions. Before flying, please always check local laws and regulations.


How often do the DJI Mini 3 propellers need to be replaced? How can I change the propellers?

Before each flight, it is necessary to check the propellers for cracks, wear, warp, corrosion, and loose screws.

If any of these conditions are present, the propellers should be replaced.

Follow the instructions in the user manual to replace the propellers.

Use the included screwdriver to change the propellers. Please follow the instructions provided.

Remove the two blades and screws from the motor, and replace with the new propellers and screws.

Why does DJI RC require a microSD card?

DJI RC supports a charging power of 15 W (5 V/3 A). The most efficient charging can be achieved with a charger that supports PD protocol. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to charge the battery fully.

Update failure may occur if:

1. The battery level of the aircraft or remote controller is below 20%.

3. The network is disconnected during a firmware download.
4. Your smartphone interface is switched to other applications during a firmware download.
