RAW Video Footage with the Inspire 1
Now the upgraded X5 and X5R cameras on the Inspire 1 Pro and
Inspire 1 RAW take things to a whole new level. They use a 16 megapixel Micro Four Thirds
sensor and take a choice of 3 MFT lenses. While both cameras shoot in UHD 4K, the X5R can also
record uncompressed RAW video to a 512GB solid
state hard drive at much higher bit rates.
That puts it in the same league at the Panasonic GH4 which is popular with DJI S900 and S1000+ pilots. If you already have an Inspire 1 you can upgrade to the new cameras. If you have a compatible lens you can buy the camera and gimbal on its own.
Inspire 1 Accessories Available
DJI Focus is a follow focus remote control that will work with both X5 cameras. If you need first person view for the pilot while your Inspire camera is focussing on the action, heliguy™ can offer an FPV upgrade to make your filming safer.
You can buy a wide range of Inspire one accessories from heliguy™ right here in the UK. From cases to help protect your Inspire while travelling to new camera filters, spare parts, extra batteries and upgrades for your quadcopter.
The DJI Inspire’s unique transforming design means it can switch from take-off mode, with its legs on
the ground, to flight mode, in which the legs and props move upwards, to produce a more stable and
elegant aircraft where nothing gets in the way of the high quality camera.
The fact that you can add a second controller to the set-up makes it even more desirable for the serious videographer because the pilot can concentrate on flying while a camera operator can focus on getting the pictures.
Use the Inspire 1 Indoors
The Inspire 1 is great indoors or in poor GPS signal areas because it has Visual Positioning which
uses optical and ultrasonic sensors to maintain a fix on the ground.
The DJI GO app gives you a huge range of controls over your Inspire 1 when you connect your smartphone or tablet to the remote controller. Not only do you get a 720p HD video feed but you have a mass of controls and information to help make your flights enjoyable, safe and efficient.
