All policies are compliant with the EU Regulation EC785/2004.
If you're looking for the best UK drone insurance, you've come to the right place.
Coverdrone offer three different drone insurance types:
Pay per day drone insurance is available for commercial drone pilots and as personal drone insurance. Policies are available for periods between 24 hours and seven days.
Pay per day insurance will usually be used as recreational drone insurance, however, can also be used for professional drone pilots who don’t fly on a regular basis.
Choose cover that suits you with liability insurance that covers your equipment if required. Cover can start in as little as ten minutes or in up to 30 days for one or more drones.
Going through your commercial drone training you a CAA approved NQE? Coverdrone offers a 30-day policy following the completion of your Ground School to practice for and undertake your Flight Assessment.
Cover is available for equipment and liability with varying levels to suit any drone pilot. You can also add multiple drones to find the best one to pass your Flight Assessment.
Following a successful Flight Assessment, the premium of your policy will be refunded if you take out an annual policy within 60 days without a claim.
Annual drone insurance is available for commercial drone operators with CAA permissions. Insurance is available from a single drone pilot with one drone through to an organisation with a drone team.
Cover is available for liability, equipment and aviation insurance with flexible rates to suit your business. Drones can be added in at any time including hired in drones for jobs that need more equipment.
Every Coverdrone customer receives access to their state of the art app for the duration of their policy. The app utilises Altitude Angel and is designed to help flight planning and increase flight safety.
The following tools are included:
Manned aviation traffic
The app is available for both Android and Apple users to help with your drone flight.
It's important to remember that the policy won't just be needed to cover your equipment for loss or damage. As a professional pilot, you'll need public liability insurance so that if your UAV or drone collides with, for example, the historic building you are filming or the factory you are inspecting; you don't have to pay for the damage. The cover can be arranged for up to £10m.
The UAV insurance policies we can arrange won't just cover your aircraft. Ancillary equipment including laptops, tablets and chargers can also come under the policy whether they're at your base, in transit or on location. You will be asked to calculate the total value of the equipment that can be in the air and therefore potentially more at risk. So, apart from the rig, it will also include the camera, memory card, gimbal and batteries.
The cost of drone insurance depends on the type of cover, insurance period and the drone.
